PreTeach blends online learning and reading with practical in-school experience and is designed so that candidates follow a structured weekly programme. It, therefore, requires you to be in a school, but not necessarily in a teaching position. This can be in an employed position, such as a teaching assistant or in a voluntary capacity.
Skill-Builders are designed to provide a toolkit to new and prospective teachers. While it is beneficial to observe and practice these skills in a school (as a teaching assistant or in a voluntary capacity) when undertaking a course, it is not essential – you can still get a lot from Skill-Builders by simply following the course online.
