The Centre for Intelligent Healthcare aims to become a globally recognised research centre for pioneering and opinion-setting research in the area of digital healthcare and its contribution to improving communities and enriching and prolonging individual lives.
The centre is home to a vibrant programme of work across our three core themes: Epidemiology and Evidenced Based Healthcare, Prototype Design and Testing and also Behavioural and Implementation Science. These themes have ongoing projects in the development of online digital healthcare platforms, wearable and remote monitoring technologies, biomedical signal processing, AI algorithms in healthcare, big data analytics, device innovation and interaction with local communities to identify and overcome barriers to the use of innovative healthcare technologies.
Developing our research is a strategic priority for our centre; significant investment has been made into facilities, research staff and research support services.
