About us

The Centre for e-Mobility and Clean Growth (CEMR) is aligned to the global challenges related to the decarbonisation of the transport and energy sectors. Our research is based around lithium batteries, power electronics and electric drives, supercapacitors and fuel cells with core applications in transport.

Our key facilities include the £50m Centre for Advanced Low Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS) which is a partnership between Coventry University and FEV UK and our Centre of Excellence in Cell Prototyping located in the Alison Gingell building.

Our Centres goal is to build academic depth and state of the art facilities, in chosen research areas, so that we can collaborate synergistically with other research groups and industrial partners.

Our Team

Our multidisciplinary research team brings a wealth of experience and ensures that the Centre for e-Mobility and Clean Growth is firmly embedded within the commercial ecosystem that it supports. Many of our own researchers have years of industry experience of their own to support the development of the next generation of pioneers in the transport sector, besides the knowledge required to bring production-ready mobility solutions to the fore.

Find out more about the staff and PhD researchers working at the centre and the work they are carrying out by visiting the PURE portal.
