CCE research, investigations and conversations across creative economies and cultural activity combine social science, humanities, and arts approaches as a basis for understanding the complexity of contemporary life and its global challenges and issues.

Recent example project funders include Arts Council England (ACE), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), InnovateUK, Culture Central, the Modern Endangered Archive Programme (MEAP) – UCLA Library/ Arcadia and various Local Authorities.

Partners

We collaborate with partners on funded research and consultancy, knowledge transfer and exchange, public engagement work and bid development. Our partnerships span local, regional and international scales – example partners and collaborators include the National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange, Creative United, Culture Central, Coventry City Council, Scarborough Museum and Art Gallery, MirrorPix, Historic England, Hamilton Studios Bombay as well as close relationships with a number of other HEI (for example, Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Glasgow, Keele, Newcastle, Warwick).

Additionally, we are consortium members of the AHRC Midlands Four Cities (M4C) Doctoral Training Programme, which offers opportunities for talented PhD students.
