As Vice Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education Steve works closely with The Provost, The Deputy Vice Chancellor Curriculum and The Dean of Students to ensure high quality educational outcomes for all students in the Group. He leads the educational strategy of The Group to focus on high student satisfaction, an excellent student experience, high quality and successful student outcomes.
Steve worked as a qualified Chartered Surveyor before starting his career in education and has an academic background in Real Estate Development and Investment. He has over 30 years experience in Higher Education and is passionate about successful education innovation and developing new teaching and learning pedagogies. Steve was formerly Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Coventry where he more than doubled student numbers and took Coventry to it’s highest ever ranking of 5th in the UK for Post Graduate taught programmes (PTES 2023).
