As Head of Sustainable Investment I lead the organisation in embedding ‘sustainability’ into day-to-day operational functions and customer focused services. ‘Standing still’ is not an option I support and I seek out opportunities to engage academia with industry (housing sector) to develop our thinking to deliver tomorrow’s needs as well as todays.
- Orbit/Coventry University KTP: Three year research project developing low carbon solutions for housing and identifying resident energy use patterns using wireless sensor interventions and educational packages to support energy reduction.
- Sampson Close Passivhaus: Two year project monitoring the design versus actual environmental performance of passivhaus buildings and impact of householder behaviour in achieving reduced energy consumption.
