Study with us
The Centre for Healthcare and Communities is dedicated to health service-focused research that aligns with the priorities of the National Health Service, World Health Organization, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and professional bodies. Our aim is to improve patient, service user and staff outcomes and experiences by bridging the gap between research, innovation, practice, and education. Below are two options to study with us:
Master of Science by Research (MSCR)
The Master of Science by Research programme offered by the Centre for Healthcare and Communities is tailored to equip you with subject-specific practical research skills at the postgraduate level.
The programme is well-suited for health and social care professionals who are ready to build on expertise, skills and knowledge gained in undergraduate study and are seeking career opportunities in a wide range of areas within healthcare, clinical research, and associated disciplines.
The programme encompasses a range of researcher development activities, taught material and supervision of an independent research project. Through the programme, you will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in healthcare and related fields.
Completion of a MSCR will equip you with the tools and transferrable skills needed to make meaningful contributions to healthcare research throughout your career and prepare you for doctoral level study if so desired.
