Sponsored Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey
As part of Coventry Business School’s 50th anniversary celebrations we were very proud to sponsor the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team’s last game of the season.
Coventry University Business School’s long standing partnership with the Coventry Blaze ice hockey team has seen over 50 players graduate successfully in a variety of Business School bachelor’s and master’s disciplines over the last 16 years.
Some have even gone on to work for the University – Russ Cowley, long standing Blaze and GB player and the current Captain, Jordan Pietrus are both academics in the School of Marketing and Management.
The partnership was commemorated on Sunday 25 March at the Skydome Arena during the Blaze’s final match against the Guildford Flames. The event also provided an opportunity for the Business School to launch its partnership video to mark the event.
160 students and staff attended the last game of the season and although the result was not in the Blaze’s favour at 2-5 to the Guildford Flames, everyone had a great evening as can be witnessed from the photographs that were captured during the evening.
Special thanks to the Lord Mayor of Coventry who was our special guest and to our chosen charity Zoe’s Place who are now auctioning the one off branded Coventry University player’s shirts to raise money for this worthy cause.
If you attended the event, we are keen to capture your feedback so please fill in our survey with the chance to win some free tickets for a future game.
