Gold and Black Alumni Gala Dinner
The Coventry University Business School 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 3 February was a wonderful occasion bringing all facets of the alumni community together as well as retired Deans, current teaching staff and local organisations, to celebrate 50 years of teaching business.
In the wonderful surroundings of the iconic Coventry Cathedral, guests enjoyed an excellent dinner alongside live music from ‘Sax and Honey. Guests were also entertained by ‘The Pitch Doctor’ – Paul Boross who showcased the science of persuading people to give you business. The chosen charity for the 50th Anniversary is Zoe’s Place and everybody was moved from the heartfelt presentation from one of our alumni who is also the parent of Joel who receives respite care at the baby hospice. £2,800 was raised during the evening for this worthy cause.
How wonderful to have the opportunity to help celebrate 50 years of the University Business School. The opportunity to meet with Alumni and meet with two of my lecturers who taught me from 1979 to my Graduation in 1982 is one I will treasure forever.
