Collaborative Online Learning (COIL)

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) means students and staff interact with other international universities and professional institutions*.

Included within the Coventry University curriculum, these opportunities provide students with valuable experience working with others from different cultures and countries, helping them to develop their digital skills and intercultural competency. COIL projects can be worked on in ‘real-time’ with students from other countries, allowing students to work collaboratively on focused activities. Alternatively, they can also be worked ‘asynchronously’, meaning students can work together at different times, allowing you to work with individuals from countries where time zones don’t overlap.
