Course overview

This course is designed for those with a clear interest in legal practice. It combines academic study with simulated professional practice to help you build the knowledge, skills and professional understanding needed for future legal careers, including preparation for the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examinations (SQE) and the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ) professional stage. However, you will need to sit exams independently with the SRA and CILEX, respectively, as the assessments are not embedded within the course (additional fees and criteria may apply).

Studying this course also keeps open a route towards becoming a CILEX lawyer, giving you more than one way to progress into legal practice after university.

The course aims to help you:

  • develop the legal knowledge and professional skills needed for legal practice
  • build a strong understanding of professional ethics and codes of conduct
  • apply your learning through a combination of academic study and simulated professional practice.
