The UK Government has banned the sale of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles from 2040. For this to be achieved and for the adoption of increasing amounts of renewable energy, improvements in battery technology are needed.
Nyobolt Ltd is bringing to the market an ultra-fast charging battery technology, providing a solution to critical unmet needs in the automotive sector and beyond.
The Centre for E-Mobility Research (CECG) is one of 10 organisations from six European countries to have joined forces and secured the significant funding under the umbrella of the Horizon Europe Programme.
The A1R is a high-value drug target but is linked to serious cardiovascular side effects because it activates multiple G proteins.
Coventry University are a project partner to phase 1 work which provides resource and support capacity across stakeholders to undertake partnership development and landscape evidence analysis required to design the phase 2 work programme.
With an increasingly ageing population, neurological disorders (ND), including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease (AD and PD), are becoming the second leading cause of death and the world's largest cause of disability-adjusted life years. This research is exploring the skills and competencies needed for fleet managers in humanitarian aid setting.
This research is aimed at assuring cybersecurity and safety of complex CPS/IoT systems, which arise from convergence of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet of Things (IoT).
The extension of the Master Gardener Programme from a community to a prison setting was in recognition of research evidence that showed a range of positive outcomes associated with the role of horticulture in supporting physical, emotional, behavioural and social wellbeing.
Iron Age ‘bog bodies’ have fascinated scholars and the public alike for over two centuries due to their exceptional preservation. Research has typically focused on forensic examination of the bodies themselves but, despite much revolutionary scientific research, debate surrounding why individuals were killed and deposited in bogs has stagnated. Consensus generally remains divided between two key themes originally suggested in the early 19th and 20th centuries: capital punishment, and ritual sacrifice.

This project aims to build a collaborative partnership between Coventry University and Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA).
This project builds on an FGM information webapp that was successfully developed for young people by Coventry University.
Fluids in many industrial settings such as food processes, glass manufacturing or metal casting exhibit non-Newtonian behaviours (e.g. shear stress is not proportional to shear rate). For processes like mixing, pumping or production in industry, understanding and applying the dynamics of non-Newtonian fluids are important to optimise the processes. Fundamental research explored non-Newtonian fluid dynamics through a canonicalsystem called Taylor-Couette (TC) flow, a shear flow between two concentric cylinders rotating independently. While keeping its simple geometry, the flow demonstrates the richness of complex phenomena such as instability, pattern formation or turbulence.
This project explores business-government relations and the political activities of leading firms by drawing on historical 'Anglo-Saxon' case studies.
The purpose of the ComMent project is to create educational resources for entrepreneurial skills development tailored to the identified mental health professionals” needs.
This project showcases the important relationships the Centre has with economic development agencies in its own sub-region.
