Faculty of Arts and Humanities Building Redevelopment

Faculty of Arts and Humanities Building Redevelopment

We are currently in the process of a major redevelopment of our Faculty of Arts and Humanities buildings. The demolition of the former Bugatti building will make way for a brand new space, linking the two neighbouring buildings – Graham Sutherland and Maurice Foss which are undergoing a complete internal refurbishment.

The building will be open to the public as well as students, and will feature an expansive gallery space. It will also provide world-class teaching spaces, including highly flexible and immersive media facilities.

It is anticipated that the project will be completed in the latter part of 2021, the same year that Coventry will be UK City of Culture, a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to be part of the biggest arts festival in the world. Students joining us from this year will be the first to experience the faculty’s new sector-leading facilities.

The new building and refurbishment of existing buildings will enhance our students’ experience in Coventry with advanced facilities, including new studios. There will also be space for the city’s community through the creation of a public gallery.
