Research themes

Our research covers six vital themes: Life Course Epidemiology explores health determinants from gestation to adulthood. The Abuse, Trauma, and Health cluster advances care and recovery for abuse survivors. We tackle workforce health by creating ecosystems that focus on workplace well-being. The Public Health, Inequalities, and Behavioural Sciences cluster promotes health and addresses inequalities at individual and societal levels.

We aim to ensure high-quality maternal and infant care through evidence and implementation strategies. Finally, our applied clinical research emphasises multi-disciplinary rehabilitation and recovery for acute and long-term conditions.

Research Methods and Evaluation Unit

We operate a Research Methods and Evaluation Unit through which we provide internal and external research methods expertise to support all areas of our activity.
