Coventry University Graduation

Your graduation is the culmination of your studies and is an important event for you and your family and/or your friends. In order to make this a positive, memorable experience, it is important that you register your attendance for your designated ceremony via NOVA by the deadline given. Unfortunately, if you miss that deadline you will have to attend the next appropriate ceremony as we are not able to accept any late registrations. So if you want to graduate with the rest of your course, you must make sure that you register in time.

If you are not able to or do not wish to attend a graduation ceremony, you must make sure that the University has your most up to date correspondence address, as that is the address where your certificate will be sent. If you need to change your address, you can do this on SOLAR by no later than the date of your ceremony.

Certificates are posted following the ceremony by standard post. Please note that the University is not responsible for any certifcates not received. If this happens and you require a replacement then you must order via the online shop and pay the appropriate fee.

Spring Graduation Suspended

In light of the ongoing uncertainty created by the COVID-19 outbreak and its spread in the UK, we have taken the decision to suspend all graduation ceremonies scheduled to be held in March and April 2020.

This decision has not been taken lightly – we know how important graduations are to our graduands and their families – but we must prioritise the health and safety of our students, staff and the communities where we are located. Current advice around mass gatherings is subject to continual review by the government and Public Health England, and we think it sensible to act now in order to give graduands and their guests as much notice as possible.

So as not to disadvantage students due to graduate, the awards will be conferred administratively and certificates posted to home addresses. It is therefore important that students due to graduate this spring check that their address details are up-to-date on SOLAR. Dates will be organised and circulated in due course for formal celebrations so that those affected do not miss out on the graduation experience.Ede & Ravenscroft provide the gowning and photography for our graduation ceremonies. You can cancel your gown and photography online by logging back into your account, or you can contact them through their call centre on 01223 861 854 to request a refund.
