Right to study (RTS) check

To complete enrolment, all students who need immigration permission to study in the UK must pass a Right to Study (RTS) check. This is a legal requirement under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations and makes sure you are eligible to begin your course. If this check is not completed or is unsuccessful, you will not be able to enrol.

Getting your Student Status letter

Your student status letter proves you're officially enrolled at Coventry University. It includes your course name, study dates, and whether you're studying full-time or part-time.

Apply for your visa

You’ll need a Student Visa to study with us in the UK. You can apply when you have your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Your CAS is valid for 6 months and includes a number that you’ll need for your visa application.


Set up your UKVI e-Visa account

You must set up your UKVI e-visa account to view and prove your immigration status before you travel to the UK.


Pay your deposit

Paying your deposit is important and you should do it before you travel. To meet all university and visa requirements, you must make this payment. If you don’t, you won’t be able to enrol or legally remain in the UK.
