The Talent Team provides a wide range of programmes to support the employability of Coventry University students.
Our ‘Be Part of the Conversation’ series offers industry professionals an opportunity to help our students prepare for the world of work.
As an industry mentor, you would support your mentees by helping them identify their career development goals and how to achieve these.
Benefits of participation
Be Part of the Conversation series provides industry mentors with the opportunity to gain:
- professional benefits of linking to other career areas and developing potential collaborations
- satisfaction from helping other people grow and develop
- an opportunity to review/reflect their own practice and experiences

Who will I be mentoring?
The series is open to students across the Coventry University Group who are keen to gain industry insights and develop a professional network or explore career areas of interest.
Series format
The series will consist of individual dynamic one-hour sessions, led by industry experts like yourself as the mentor, covering:
- Personal journey
- Top Tips for success in the world of work
- Engaging Q&A session
The sessions will follow a mentorship format allowing one mentor to engage with multiple mentees in a lively session.
