The Procurement Act 2023 (PA2023)
The Procurement Act 2023 came into effect on 24 February 2025. The aim of the Act is to simplify and improve the procurement process and provide more opportunities for suppliers by:
- Creating simpler and more flexible bidding processes
- Improving flexibility through the new ‘competitive flexible procedure
- Making public procurement more transparent
- Opening up public procurement to new entrants, such as small businesses and social enterprises
