Lanchester Library

Based in the heart of Coventry University’s campus, the Lanchester Library is instantly recognisable and provides you with a wealth of money-saving options:

A great place to study, the library has five floors that you can use. Whether you’re looking for silent study, or working in a group, the library is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is only closed on 25 December. So, on those cold winter days, it’s an ideal place to come, focus, and keep warm.

The library offers a range of PC and Mac suites, free Wi-Fi, and a laptop loan service for up to six hours. These suites are available throughout academic facilities, including the Delia Derbyshire Building, accessible to all students.

An affordable café can be found on the ground floor, so if you need a little pick-me-up, or some time to unwind, you’re more than welcome to drop in.

Sports facilities

Whether you’re looking to keep fit, want to rent out a sports hall, or join a sports club, we have loads of budget friendly options to keep you moving:

The Sports Centre is a great place to keep fit. Situated in the heart of the campus, different membership options are available depending on what you’re looking for.

- Want to have a game of five-a-side with your friends? Or have a game of basketball? Our sports halls can be booked out privately.
Your Students’ Union has a great number of sports clubs you can join. Whether you want to play rugby, netball or cricket, joining a Your Students’ Union sports club is an inexpensive way to keep fit, meet new people and have fun!

The Hub

The home to Your Students’ Union and a fantastic place to meet up with friends and either study or spend valuable relaxation time, The Hub has a wealth of budget-friendly facilities:

From a café to an on-site shop and a range of eating establishments, The Hub offers a fantastic range of choices for you. You can also bring in home-cooked meals to enjoy with friends thanks to the abundance of seating and heated dining areas.
Situated in The Hub, you’ll find Square One, a versatile venue that provides regular entertainment events, including it’s budget-friendly cinema screenings of both blockbusters and cult movies, as well as live bands and a well-priced bar.
The Hub includes other great facilities, including a hairdresser and an entertainment area that houses both a table football and a PlayStation 5, which you can book from the front desk.

The Ink Well

Situated just across the road from The Hub, The Ink Well is a great place to check out if you need any stationery or printing. With a fantastic range of options to choose from, students can enjoy a 25% discount, and a 50% discount on printing any student work.
