Members of the Lanchester Association out on a walk in the countryside.

Lanchester Association

The Lanchester Association is a social organisation for former staff of Coventry University. The Association was formed over 25 years ago to provide a variety of informal and agreeable ways in which retired staff of Coventry University and its forerunners can keep in touch with each other and with the university.

Staff who have moved into fractional contracts in the run-up to retirement are also most welcome to join.

Members can take part in a varied programme of events – usually 6 to 8 events per year – including talks by guest speakers; visits to places of interest; a Christmas lunch and an AGM. Events usually take place between September and the following June, avoiding evenings and week-ends and we try to arrange events of different days of the week so that anybody with a regular commitment has the opportunity to participate. The costs of participation in events/visits are kept as low as possible, so that they are accessible to all. Members are welcome to bring guests to the events.
