Working at Coventry University

Coventry University is making its journey towards 2020 and our research strategy is designed to encourage and support excellence in research. We are continuing our commitment to our staff by investing £100million over three years, with a total spend of £150million in our estate and facilities that will help us become a world top 100 university under 50 years old.

To achieve this, it is imperative that we enhance the profile, reputation and esteem of our researchers and provide an environment in which their research can thrive. Research at Coventry University is underpinned by a focus on its impact in the real world.

It’s an exciting time to be part of our journey, our campus is buzzing and our focus on research will ensure that it is promoted in the public domain, not just hidden in labs. As a member of our research team, you will be a key part of our future growth and we will support your personal and professional development – enabling you to be the best at whatever you choose to do.

Our campus has undergone significant development over the past few years, with vibrant new buildings and inspiring teaching and social spaces that make our environment a wonderful place to work. In the heart of the city centre, we have created a campus feel to our space in the city and have our own supermarket, coffee shops and sports centre.

The City of Coventry is steeped in history, and on the doorstep to the University campus are the old and new Cathedrals, medieval streets and a variety of art galleries and museums. A centre of peace and reconciliation, Coventry has a diverse and multicultural population where a rich tapestry of faiths and cultures make a vibrant society to live and work in.

Excellent transport links, including Birmingham International Airport, make travel to and from Coventry easy, and our position in the country means that the beautiful Warwickshire countryside is less than half an hour away, and London is only 63 minutes by train.

If you will need to relocate your family to Coventry in order to take up a role with the University, we have a variety of support available, which our HR Team will be happy to talk to you about.
