Study within a community dedicated to health and caring
The School of Health and Care delivers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses across a range of health professions, including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, clinical psychology and operating department practice. You’ll join a community that shares your commitment to improving lives, supporting people and strengthening the systems that keep communities healthy.
Learning through exploration
Many of our courses offer students opportunities to study abroad, and engage with our Collaborative Online International Learning programme (COIL). COIL connects you with learners and professionals from different cultures and countries, helping you build digital confidence and develop valuable intercultural skills. Our teaching focuses on caring and compassion, holistic and spiritual wellbeing, and the wider challenges of building resilient, connected communities.
Bring learning to life in specialist facilities
Our approach is designed to bring your subject to life. You will have the opportunity to use our excellent facilities and equipment to simulate scenarios, applying theory to practice in safe, supported environments. Drawing on the expertise and experience of our staff, you will have practical advice and guidance to support you as you plan your next steps after graduation.

The 'learning through exploration' approach at Coventry University takes a hands-on approach to learning. In addition to using the mock wards, operating theatre and ICU, we also use a range of problem solving and scenario-based learning to embed your understanding. In this video you will see how our nursing students interact with one of a number of 'patients' they will meet several times throughout their course, as the 'patient's' medical history develops. This evolving scenario-based learning helps you to develop patient-centred care and important skills in supporting patients with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and needs.
