The Importance Of Innovation In Transformational Entrepreneurship

These think tanks seek to identify suitable means to translate this thought leadership into a stream of appropriate outputs and, in this manner, disseminate these outputs to governments, industry and educational institutions who are either directly and/or indirectly involved in the promotion of entrepreneurship.

My Experience at the “Life Beyond PhD” 2018 Conference

Coventry University funds one place for a postgraduate researcher to attend the annual Cumberland lodge conference. The focus of the conference is to support PGRs to think about their next steps after completing their research degree. This year Zimu Xu applied and was selected to attend the 2018 Cumberland Lodge “Life Beyond PhD” 2018 Conference. Please read below of Zimu’s reflections on the experience.

Improv in the Entrepreneurial Classroom

As an enterprise educator, I saw the opportunity to both enhance my teaching practice and to pass on important skills and insights to emerging entrepreneurs. 

The classes were very hands-on and covered a number of key areas of Improv practice including One Word Story, Yes and and Who, What, Where. For example, the one word story involves a group of people in a large circle creating a story one word at a time; each person adds a new word in a sequence until it comes to a conclusion.

Professor Maas took over as President at the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s (ISBE) 40th Annual Conference in Belfast. ISBE's (www.isbe.org.uk) focus is to enable excellence in small business and entrepreneurship across research, policy, practice and learning communities and this 40th annual conference succeeded in highlighting new knowledge in these areas.
