Applying to Coventry University through the Application Portal is quick and straightforward when you know what to expect.
With this exclusive route, you can skip the standard UCAS process and apply directly with no fees to worry about.
Follow this step-by-step guide to complete your application.
Getting started: what you’ll need
Make sure you have:
your personal details ready (contact info, address)
details of your chosen course
ID (such as a scan of your passport)
a stable internet connection.
Taking a few minutes to prepare everything in advance will help you complete your application without interruptions.
Setting up your online account
Start by navigating to the Application Portal and logging in or creating an account.
Click ‘Register’ if you're a new user.
Or enter your login details to continue.
Starting a new application
Once logged in, you will be taken to your dashboard.
From here, you can start a new application or continue an existing one.
Select ‘Start New Application’.
Enter your details as prompted.
Select the institution you are currently studying at from the drop-down menu.
Choose the course you want along with the relevant intake and entry stage.
The entry stage is the point at which you plan to start your studies.
0 Foundation
1 First year bachelor's degree or HNC
2 Second year of bachelor's degree or HND
3 Final year of bachelor's degree
Make sure you select the correct option to avoid delays later.
Completing your application
Work through the application sections:
personal information
course or programme details
supporting documents.
You will be prompted by the portal to enter a personal statement, however this is not mandatory when applying from one of our partner institutions. If you don't already have a personal statement, you can simply enter some placeholder text to meet the minimum word count (400 words) and continue with your application.
You also do not need to provide a reference. We'll use the information from your progression agreement instead.
Double-check spelling and accuracy and ensure you choose the correct course, start date and campus.
Review your application
Before submitting:
check all sections carefully
make sure all required fields are complete.
This is your chance to fix any mistakes.
Submit your application
When you're ready, click ‘Submit Application’
You should then see a confirmation message.
What happens next?
You’ll receive a confirmation email.
Your application will be reviewed.
