David Ellis

David is a Lecturer in Business within the School of Strategy and Leadership. David is a PRINCE 2 qualified project manager with 20+ years’ experience in private and not-for-profit sectors, including telecommunications, ICT, sustainable energy, rural development and agriculture. Prior to becoming a full-time academic, he co-ordinated the UK involvement in two European Commission funded projects designed to improve energy efficiency.

David’s teaching experience stems from delivering TQM training in the 1990s, designing and delivering CPD courses in Project Management through the University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning and developing and facilitating workshops on strategic planning for charity CEOs (funded by the Home Office).  He currently teaches project management on the BA Business Management course.

David is currently Link Tutor for BKF University of Applied sciences, Budapest, and is Digital Literacy Champion for his department. David has an MSc in- Telecommunications & Information Systems from Essex University, a PG Diploma in Applied Management from Salford University and a BSc in Computer Science and Chemistry from Aston University.  He has recently completed his PG Certificate in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the HEA.
