Co-designing Digital Strategies for the Museum and Education Sectors

Funder:

Arts Connect

Value to the University:

£6,000

Project Team:

Dr Alessandro Merendino
Prof Maureen Meadows

Duration:

March 2022 - December 2022

Project objectives

The objective is to investigate the challenges and ‘good digital practice’ activities undertaken by museums, primarily with schools, during the pandemic. As a result, we will gain a fine-grained understanding of how in-person, digital and hybrid offerings can best be shaped in the future.

Impact statement

This project will support the Heritage Education Leaders Group at Arts Connect by developing a strategic view of the role of digital activities in arts/heritage education and engagement with schools in a COVID-19 era, and learnings for good practice beyond the pandemic. This project will further enhance the relationship between the arts/heritage sector and the education sector by providing a comprehensive overview of challenges, solutions and good digital practice activities for the future.
