Project overview

The project “Escape Racism – Toolbox to promote inclusive communities” has the main aim of building inclusive societies where young people are promoting the respect of human rights, combating racism and discrimination and acting as multipliers for their peers.

Project objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

  • To create innovative practices in the field of youth work through the development of a toolkit of methodologies which promotes the development of soft skills of youngsters such as leadership, communication skills, teamworking skills, problem–solving, critical and lateral thinking and at the same promotes human rights, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
  • To increase the availability of innovative and non–formal methodologies by developing online tools at disposal of all the organisations and institutions Europe-wide and different scenarios of educational escape rooms in four countries, accessible to youth, especially with fewer opportunities.
  • To develop organisational capacity of five institutions with different cultural and organisational experiences and strengthening of the strategic partnership among them.
  • All the communities involved in the project will benefit in the long-run period. The communities will benefit from a raised awareness on racism and discrimination, youth involved will act as multipliers with their peers and families, sharing a more inclusive idea of society and relations among people. In a long term perspective an international community of organizations and youth workers will be created, with a strong background on non formal education, engagement of youth with fewer opportunities and able to create real and lasting impact in their communities and in other sectors of society. The e-learning platform will also serve as a sustainable tool accessible at European level, where to share best practices and that can be enriched by new inputs Europe-wide.
