Get in touch

Our research creates novel and sustainable solutions to improve healthcare for all by reducing health inequalities, supporting disease prevention, developing new interventions and strengthening health and community care systems.

With a multi-disciplinary approach, we draw on expertise from across our research centres, including those in engineering and the arts to address global health challenges. We take a person-centred approach in our healthcare technology and digital innovation, in our approach to improving health outcomes for those needing rehabilitation, those at risk of, or living with long term conditions physical and mental health conditions. Our aim is to help people live happier and healthier lives for longer.

Our research centres are advancing digital health through AI, wearables and telehealth, developing trauma-informed mental health support and strengthening rehabilitation and recovery. By collaborating with the NHS, healthcare providers, policymakers and industry, we are translating research and innovation into practical improvements across health systems and communities.

Our vision

We’re investing in approaches that anticipate a sustainable future for healthcare. As well as producing preventative and people-centred evidence, we're actively embedding it in how care is delivered, how people recover and how communities stay well.
