Local heroes take to the stage for Coventry Conversations

The free-to-attend Coventry Conversations will continue this month with Phil Riley from Orion Media, who will be discussing Free at last – rebranding Mercia, BRMB etc. Taking place on Thursday 10th May, Phil will talk about the ever evolving local radio scene and the recent rebrand of Mercia along with three of its sister stations in the Midlands – BRMB, Beacon and Wyvern.

Later on in May, Brody Swain will be hosting his Local boy makes good talk. The Breakfast Show presenter at Touch FM started work as an in-store DJ down the road in Birmingham in 1990 and has never looked back since. Offering us an insight into his varied career in local radio; he joins Coventry Conversations on Thursday 17th May.

John Mair, senior lecturer in journalism at Coventry University and founder of the Coventry Conversations programme, said:

“We are really pleased to see key regional movers and shakers such as Phil Riley and Brody Swain joining the ever popular Coventry Conversations programme this month.”

Both Coventry Conversations take place at 1pm in the Ellen Terry Building, and are free for everyone to attend.
