Welcome to the Africa Centre at Coventry University

Welcome to the Africa Centre at Coventry University

The Coventry University Africa Centre is a platform for scholarship, community and policy engagement, bringing together scholars from across Coventry University Group with stakeholders on the continent. The launch of the Centre will be take place during Coventry University's Nigeria 60 event.

Nigeria 60 will celebrate the strong connections between the University and Nigerian/Nigerian-diaspora alumni and the societal impact they have made since graduating from the University, on the occasion of the country’s 60th independence anniversary.

Nigeria 60 will also mark the launch of the Coventry University Africa Centre as the first event in the Africa Conversations series. The series is focused on research and learning, innovation, scholarship, sustainability, cultural appreciation and creative expression within sub-Saharan Africa.

The celebration will launch Africa Centre as a hub for advancing the Coventry University Africa partnership. The Centre will enrich the experiences of students, alumni and expand engagement with our staff and stakeholders from the region as we evidence our commitment to Africa.

Facilitated by Dr Uchenna Tony-Okeke, Associate Head of School for Global Engagement.
