Turki's story

Following in his brother’s footprints who graduated from Coventry University with a master’s degree, Turki also chose to study at the university. He learnt basic knowledge of commerce by working for his family business, but believes the high quality of teaching at Coventry University will help him deepen his understanding and prepare him for his business ambitions in the UK.

He is now enjoying his life and study in Coventry where he has made friends with people from various countries.

The culture at Coventry University is what I like the most; it’s almost like a different country. People here are just kind and welcoming. I want to stay here for as long as I can – I love it.

Coventry University supported me when I couldn’t study at the London campus. They gave me accommodation in Singer Hall where there’s a big mix of international students. I’ve made close friendships because of it. It’s my first year living here and the people, weather, food, everything are great. I would never have expected myself to go to the library and study every day, but I do! I love student life here.

The tutors are the best thing about my experience so far studying in the UK. Better than the city life or anything else, the teaching is the best part. They want you to learn, they are not just doing their job. If you miss the class, there are actually extra sessions to go to after. The teaching is amazing.
