Parents and Supporters

We understand that parents and those who are supporting others through university want their dependent to have the opportunity to reach their full potential and be happy at their chosen university.

Across these pages you will find all the resources you need to support an individual through their application to university and the exciting years of academic discovery which will lead them to the career of their dreams.

Confidentiality

Under UK General Data Protection Regulations the university is prohibited from releasing information about a student to a third party without consent of the student, and this includes parents or legal guardians.

The only time we will contact you about your child is if you are listed as next of kin and it is an emergency.

To discuss your child’s application with the university, your child will need to provide written consent to the relevant recruiting team.

If your son or daughter has already commenced their studies and you have concerns, you should contact a member of staff to discuss these, but please note that the university will not be able to give any information to you about your child.
