We are committed to enhancing the international experience of each of our students whether they are from the UK, EU or overseas. More global connectivity means we must prepare students to work cross-culturally and broaden their creative perspective.
Each year our course teams organise a range of overseas study trips or work experience to support your learning. In some courses, you can use these trips as part of a Global Add+Vantage module at Levels 2 and 3 so we encourage you to consider that option.
We offer over 60 exciting international study placement opportunities in the School of Art and Design, including institutions in Sweden, Germany, Spain and Finland.
Closer to home we’re continuously celebrating the multiculturalism of our School with events including our Industrial Design film nights and collaborative exhibitions with other countries, such as the Dresden exhibition with UK and German artists.
Work experience can be gained in the UK or abroad, the School of Art and Design’s employment unit offer a wide variety of international opportunities for students wanting to travel and work outside Europe, from Asia to Australia. Study or work abroad options help differentiate our graduates from their peers after graduation. The university also provides incentives for prospective students including free foreign language classes and financial support.
