If you're getting ready for life at Coventry University there's a few things you'll want to do before you get here. Find out what to bring and get essential information about your contract before you arrive.

What to bring
You will need to bring the following items:
- Bed linen
- Towels
- Toiletries
- Bath mat
- Laundry basket
- Desk lamp
- Hangers
- Pots and pans (Bishop Gate and Godiva Place require induction pots and pans)
- Plates, bowls, cutlery and glassware
- Toilet roll
- Cleaning products
- Extension lead
- D-lock if you're bringing a bike
UniKitOut provide bespoke student packages from kitchen to bedding packs, and all the extras you might need for your new home, at discounted rates. You can get your pack delivered directly to your new accommodation so it's waiting for you when you get here.

Arrival information and key collection
We cannot wait to welcome you to your new home. Here are the steps you'll need to take once you get here.

- If you have booked private accommodation via FutureLets please email us 5 days prior to your arrival for further information.
- Once a room offer has been made you will receive an email from ‘Inventory HIVE’ 5 days prior to start of the accommodation contract (1st September). It is important you record and submit any defects you may find in your room upon arrival, please ensure you complete the online inventory as soon as you arrive into your room as you have limited time to submit this. Full instructions will be provided in the email. If you have any queries you can speak to the receptionist or contact your halls manager.
- Log in to the halls WiFi using your Coventry University ID and password. You can sign-up to our WiFi prior to your arrival using the link we have emailed to you.
- Confirm your insurance policy. We've arranged contents insurance for all our students staying with us in our halls of residence at no cost to you. It is important that you confirm your cover to ensure you understand what is and isn't covered.
- Download the Wayfinder app to help you find your way around campus. It's full of lots of useful links and information to get you started.
- Get your student ID card. Once you have enrolled, follow the instructions on Wayfinder to get your student ID card (please select your location from the pane on right).
- Register with a doctor. Our medical centre is based within The Hub building and has doctors and nurses based there for student appointments.
