Travel broadened my horizons
Rachel Power is in the third year of her Law LLB at Coventry Law School.
The chance to go on international field trips was one of the factors that attracted her to her course. She advises anyone considering Coventry to take full advantage of the opportunities available as she has done – meeting people from across the world while experiencing places she never thought she’d visit, including China and South Africa.
Here she tells us about her first experience on a trip to Trinidad and Tobago.
for overseas student experiences - based on student trips abroad - HESA 2016/17 UK
The first international trip I went on was to Trinidad and Tobago – somewhere I would never even consider going. We went to one of Coventry’s partner universities, the University of West Indies. We spoke to people studying law and did a moot competition with them, like a mock trial. One of the best things about it was that one of the lecturers was local – he was from Trinidad, so he took us to places that I would never even dream of going to.
