Employability

Focusing on my future career

Ffion is in her second year of her Childhood and Youth Studies BA (Hons) at the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences.

A focus on employability and flexible career options were some of the main reasons she enrolled at Coventry University. She found the student support in finding volunteer work and course placements very encouraging. Here she tells us more about the advice she received.

of graduates are employed or in further study - UG UK DLHE survey, 2016/17

The university really focuses on employability after graduation which is something that is important to me. My course gives me a lot of flexibility and choice for my future career.

The course lecturers have years of experience between them, which gives you a really good insight into what you could be doing in the future. I’m currently volunteering in a children’s nursery, which my lecturers helped me to apply for, and they supported my application with references. It’s great to get extra opportunities such as this.
