Award helps student racers charge up their Silverstone challenge News
A group of motorsport engineering undergraduates at Coventry University has become one of only six Formula Student teams across the UK to be awarded a prestigious cash prize by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
Engineers and researchers have been coming up with a number of ways to tackle increasingly tough emissions targets and reducing vehicles’ body mass is one area they have been exploring. Coventry University’s Centre for Manufacturing and Materials Engineering worked with Unipart Powertrain Applications and the Institute for Advance Manufacturing and Engineering to look into this issue.

A team of Coventry University researchers welcomed more than 40 international stakeholders from the bioplastics industry to the first of three social innovation labs to address the bioplastics supply chain dilemma.
We are offering financial support to all eligible EU students who wish to study with us full-time, up to and including the 2026/27 academic year. This Bursary will be used to offset the cost of your tuition fees to bring them in-line with that of UK students.
