This project focuses upon ways of integrating technology into flower bouquet design. Traditional bouquet design is based upon human skills and instincts, however the advent of technology opens up a new array of possibilities for designing bouquets that speak to consumer desires and wider societal goals.
This project studies how floods move harmful chemicals in a city in India and looks at natural ways to reduce this pollution. The PhD will take place in India and the UK, combining fieldwork, lab experiments, and advanced chemical analysis using mass spectrometry.
A fully funded PhD studentship within an Academy of Medical Sciences project investigating the influence of miRNAs from exosomes isolated from colostrum, transitional milk and mature milk on the development and function of cultured neuronal cells and a human iPSC-derived brain organoid model.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Professor Alban Potherat. Applications are invited for a PhD position in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics within the project "Does the Earth's magnetic field spin out the polar vortex in the outer core?", funded by the Leverhulme Trust, at the Research Centre for Fluid and Complex Systems (FCS) at Coventry University.
This is a PhD within the Coventry University (UK) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa) Cotutelle programme. Primarily based at Coventry University this PhD will have a focus on children's motor development, physical activity, health and educational outcomes.
Dual degree project between Coventry University (UK) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa) exploring new methodologies in explainable neuro-symbolic artificial intelligence applied to overcome data scarcity barriers in AI for mathematics education.
This PhD studentship develops an AI-driven Digital Twin framework for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in Wide-Bandgap (SiC/GaN) power converters used in automotive applications. The project will develop predictive surrogate models using Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) to predict high-frequency conducted and radiated emissions, bridging virtual simulations with real-world physical compliance testing.
This PhD investigates how linked data infrastructures, artificial intelligence and participatory design methods can support community archives and local cultural collections in the digital knowledge economy.
This project examines how university students’ feedback literacy is transforming amid widespread GenAI adoption, which is a critical challenge for educators and policymakers globally. Focusing on learner agency, the successful candidate will explore whether feedback opportunities effectively engage students, despite persistent disengagement. Project outcomes will inform curricular design, institutional support strategies, and pedagogical practices, to bridge gaps between theory and real-world engagement. Candidates from a range of disciplinary backgrounds are welcome to apply. Experience of social science research approaches is needed.
This fully-funded PhD studentship aims to develop and validate a scale-transfer methodology that predicts large-format PEMFC stack performance and durability from subscale cell tests, identifying which electrochemical diagnostics, operating regimes and degradation indicators remain transferable across active area, flow-field architecture and hardware scale.
