Shropshire businesses sought for trial of new audience survey software
Monday 13 January 2014
Shropshire businesses are being offered the opportunity to try out a newly developed customer communication tool for free.
Touch Digital – a technology focussed joint initiative between Coventry University Enterprises Ltd and Aston University – is seeking small businesses or sole traders in Shropshire to take part in a fully funded year long trial of a new software package called Have Your Say.
Developed by the specialists at Touch Digital, Have Your Say is an easy to use audience survey tool. Based on SMS text messaging mobile technology, it enables users to canvass consumer opinion quickly and effectively.
The application allows users to design bespoke questionnaires, which they then issue to their audience electronically. Clients are assigned a dedicated survey response contact number for their customers to respond to via their mobile devices and the programme tracks all information issued and received. It also stores a wealth of statistical information which can be easily converted into graph format or other simple to follow diagrams for analysis.
Businesses in the region interested in finding out more about how the product works and the advantages it offers are invited to attend a forthcoming workshop and online training session. The workshop will take place at 10am on Tuesday 21 January at the RAF Museum in Shifnal with the follow-up online session taking place on Thursday 30 January.
The workshop and online session are free but those interested in taking part will need to commit to both. They must also have a registered address in the West Midlands.
In return for their participation they will receive Have Your Say to use completely free for a year from February. This includes any costs associated with the rental of the mobile number assigned to users, which the project will cover for the duration of the trial period.
Caroline Geraghty, Project Officer at Touch Digital, said:
The Have Your Say application is essentially a tool which helps companies to engage with their customers. It’s a flexible application, which can be used for market research purposes but it’s also proved particularly effective at live events like seminars and presentations where speakers have used it to get real time feedback and involvement from audience members.
The workshop and online session are free but anyone wishing to take part must register their attendance in advance. Places can be booked on the Touch Digital website www.touchdigital.eu/events where further information on the Have Your Say application can also be found.
