Dr Bianca Wright

Curriculum Lead: Immersive and Associate Professor

Biography

An award-winning technology journalist whose work has appeared in consumer and trade magazines and websites, in the US, the UK, Australia, South Africa and Europe. Bianca Wright is passionate about investigating the possibilities, challenges and risks of new and emerging technologies, including; virtual reality and gaming. Bianca has worked on a range of projects in academia and industry, most recently focusing on immersive technologies and digital skills development.

Bianca is currently Curriculum Lead: Immersive and Associate Professor and an Associate of the Centre for Post-Digital Cultures at Coventry University. She holds a Masters in Science and Technology Journalism and a PhD in Media Studies focusing on gamification in serious games, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
