What if I’m unhappy with my original choice?
If you have the grades you need to get into your first or second choice university, but you’ve changed your mind, you can use the ‘decline my place’ option to reject your offer and enter Clearing. You can then apply to another university/course through Clearing. To release yourself into Clearing:
- 1Sign in to your UCAS Hub account and decline your place on your profile page
- 2You'll need to answer some questions and confirm your decision
- 3UCAS will then provide email confirmation that you’re in Clearing
