The Alison Gingell Building houses world-class facilities for all our health and life sciences students. The building sits alongside the Sir John Laing Building and dominates Whitefriars Street, with multiple entrances.
Inside you’ll find a wealth of space, equipment and resources, all dedicated to putting simulation at the heart of the learning experience. Mock hospital wards, a replica ambulance, community houses, a strength and conditioning suite, the environmental chamber and a biomechanics laboratory are just a few of the fully equipped, industry-standard amenities on site.
Through hands-on, practical experiences, as well as learning the theories that underpin the work, students are prepared for the world of work.
The Alison Gingell Building gives over the entire fourth floor to the SuperLab educational laboratory and is also home to the university’s sports and recreation centre, which is also open to the public.
