Daisy's story
Student experience

I meet new people through trampolining

Daisy is just finishing the first year of her Business and Marketing BA (Hons).

She originally secured an unconditional offer for Geography but later decided it wasn’t the course for her. She was then offered a place on the Business and Marketing course through Clearing.

Daisy says that the city, her friends and the prospect of her course were all reasons that she decided to stay in Coventry. Here she tells us how she's getting the most out of her experience.

Expect more

University of the Year for Student Experience - The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019

The course is currently living up to my expectations and more. I didn’t quite appreciate how different university life would be, but it is only for the better. I feel a lot more confident in myself due to varying factors including things such as being on a first name basis with lecturers and tutors, and the genuine care from these lecturers to ensure we achieve the grade we can.

I am part of the trampolining and mountaineering societies which are both active, presenting many opportunities to take part in the activities, as well as the social nights the societies host for members. I really enjoy this as it enables me to meet loads of different personalities and people of differing degrees and stages of university that I would never have met otherwise.
