Launching a career with placements
When Disa became a mum, her career plans changed. She decided to become a Play Therapist, helping children cope with trauma.
Tutors on the Early Childhood course have turned this ambition into a reality. They’ve helped her secure placements working with children with disabilities.
It’s not always been easy. She experienced personal tragedy and became a single mum in her first weeks at CU Scarborough.
Luckily, she was in a small class of students with tutors that supported her. They were probably drawn to her bubbly personality. She is one of the loveliest classmates you could meet.
The tutors at CU Scarborough have given me lots of support with my future career prospects. They’ve helped and encouraged me to continue further in my studies.
Being a single mum, I really value the time that I have with my son. Block learning helps this happen as I get plenty of time off with him.
We have a dedicated careers team who will assist you with finding work.
