Coventry University returning students
Welcome back to Coventry University, your results notification will have detailed your progression so you’ll now need to re-enrol with us before starting the next stage of your course.
You can check your results notification in SOLAR and progress your re-enrolment from there.
Here’s a quick guide on what to do.
1
Re-enrol online
UK fee-paying undergraduate, postgraduate taught students and post graduate researchers must re-enrol for your next course stage using SOLAR.
International undergraduate and postgraduate taught students who are:
- Studying semester 1 without attendance
- Returning for semester 2 with attendance
- Resuming your studies after a period of withdrawal
will need to complete a CAS request form and submit it to us by Friday 31 March 2023, you will also need to complete an RTS check on arrival back into the UK and before commencing your studies.
International postgraduate researchers can re-enrol by following the process from step 2 below. You can contact the team by email: pgrlifecycle@coventry.ac.uk.
2
Arrange your finances
Bank Transfer (International) - 20 April
Bank Transfer (UK) - 2 May
Online card payment - 9 May
Home students applying for a student loan must do so every year. You can find all the details on the UK Government website.
International full-time students must pay £8,000 to re-enrol.
International part-time students must pay your course fees in full. You can check the cost on our Returner Fees portal.
If your fees are being paid by a sponsor (eg an employer or government body) you will need to send your sponsor letter for approval to debtenq.fin@coventry.ac.uk. We require a new sponsor letter each academic year. Please note, family and friends are not classed as sponsors.
If you haven’t paid your tuition fees in full, please ensure you make payments by the tuition instalment deadlines.
The quickest and most secure way to pay is by using Convera payment platform.
3
Complete your Right to Study (RTS) check
Students that are currently in the UK and re-enrolling will need to complete a RTS check.
If you enrolled online as a returning student in September 2022, you will remain online for the rest of the academic year and will not be permitted to travel to the UK for face-to-face teaching in semester 2.
Should you wish to return to face-to-face study, you can do this from September 2023.
If you are a returning student that is coming to the UK for the first time, you are required to complete a RTS check.
4
Get your student status letter
There may be times when you need to prove your status as a student, eg opening a bank account - you can generate a student status letter by logging into the Student Portal or via the Wayfinder app.
