Coventry University returning students

Welcome back to Coventry University, your results notification will have detailed your progression so you’ll now need to re-enrol with us before starting the next stage of your course. Enrolment opens on Tuesday 20 August 2024.

You can check your results notification in SOLAR and progress your re-enrolment from there.

Here’s a quick guide on what to do.

Re-enrol online

UK fee-paying undergraduate, postgraduate taught students and post graduate researchers must re-enrol for your next course stage using SOLAR.

International undergraduate and postgraduate taught students who are:

  • Studying semester 1 without attendance
  • Returning for semester 2 with attendance
  • Resuming your studies after a period of withdrawal

You will also need to complete an RTS check on arrival back into the UK and before commencing your studies. You may require a NEW CAS to be able to apply for a new visa to return to study before you are able to enrol, if this is the case then please fill out the following CAS request form.

International postgraduate researchers can re-enrol by following the process from step 2 below. You can contact the team by email: pgrlifecycle@coventry.ac.uk.

  • Monday 23 August 2024 (CAS non-priority)
  • Monday 9 September 2024 (CAS priority)
  • Friday 23 September 2024 (CAS super priority)
  • Monday 2 September 2024 (not requiring CAS)

Home students applying for a student loan must do so every year. You can find all the details on the UK Government website.

International full-time students must pay £8,000 to re-enrol.

International part-time students must pay your course fees in full. You can check the cost on our Returner Fees portal.

If your fees are being paid by a sponsor (eg an employer or government body) you will need to send your sponsor letter for approval to debtenq.fin@coventry.ac.uk. We require a new sponsor letter each academic year. Please note, family and friends are not classed as sponsors.

If you haven’t paid your tuition fees in full, please ensure you make payments by the tuition instalment deadlines.

The quickest and most secure way to pay is by using Convera payment platform.

Complete your Right to Study (RTS) check

In order to complete your RTS check please see the details below, you will need to come in person to the Student Centre.

Address: The Student Centre, 1 Gulson R8ad, Coventry, CV1 2JH
Dates: Tuesday 27 August 2024 – Monday 14 October 2024
Opening times: Monday - Friday, 9am - 3.30pm (excluding weekends)

Students are expected to be in the UK and have completed their Right to Study check by Friday 18 October 2024.

Get your student status letter

There may be times when you need to prove your status as a student, eg opening a bank account - you can generate a student status letter by logging into the Student Portal or via the Wayfinder app.
