Intelligent Modelling of Self‑Organised Edge Turbulence in Tokamak Plasmas

This PhD will develop a physics-informed AI framework to understand and predict turbulence at the plasma edge. The student will combine open-source simulations (GENE or its GPU-accelerated version GX, and BOUT++), GBS datasets provided by collaborators, and experimental data from KSTAR to build fast surrogate models that emulate complex plasma behaviour.

Investigating environmental pollution in India by Contaminants of Emerging Concern transported in floodwaters and the potential of bioremediatation using Nature-based Solutions

This project studies how floods move harmful chemicals in a city in India and looks at natural ways to reduce this pollution. The PhD will take place in India and the UK, combining fieldwork, lab experiments, and advanced chemical analysis using mass spectrometry.

Does the Earth magnetic field spin up the polar vortex in the outer core?

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Professor Alban Potherat. Applications are invited for a PhD position in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics within the project "Does the Earth's magnetic field spin out the polar vortex in the outer core?", funded by the Leverhulme Trust, at the Research Centre for Fluid and Complex Systems (FCS) at Coventry University.

Effects of Human Milk MicroRNAs on Early Brain Development: An In Vitro Study

A fully funded PhD studentship within an Academy of Medical Sciences project investigating the influence of miRNAs from exosomes isolated from colostrum, transitional milk and mature milk on the development and function of cultured neuronal cells and a human iPSC-derived brain organoid model.
