Dr. Geraldine Brady presents ‘Children’s and parents’ perspectives on ADHD research in Stockholm

In her role as Visiting Fellow at Stockholm University Dr Geraldine Brady was the reviewer of a PhD thesis, ‘Lived Parenting in Sensorial Differentness: Exploring Lifeworlds and Networks of Parents with Children who use Cochlear Implants’.
Geraldine led discussion at a seminar on 5 April dedicated to providing feedback on the work of student Elizabeth Adams Lyngbäck, in advance of her Final Reading seminar on 14 April. In a further seminar at the Department of Education Geraldine and Stockholm colleagues presented their research on ‘Children’s and parents’ perspectives on ADHD: a cross-cultural analysis of parent-child relations and the meaning of diagnosis in children’s lives’. They are currently awaiting the outcome of a grant proposal to the Swedish Research Council to fund this research.
