Professor Marylyn Carrigan was an invited keynote speaker at the BAM Marketing and Retail special interest group workshop on Sustainability and Ethical Consumption held at the University of Surrey, May 28th, 2016. Her presentation: After all these years, why are we not all ethical/sustainable consumers?opened the workshop.

The event featured competitive papers, and a plenary discussion panel in which Professor Carrigan participated along with Professor Deirdre Shaw (University of Glasgow), and Professor Juliet Memery (Bournemouth University) to talk about theoretical and methodological developments in the field, and future research directions for ethical consumption and sustainability. A special issue of Management Decisions on the subject of ‘Sustainability and Ethical Consumption’ will be edited by Professor Carrigan and the team delivering the BAM SIG. The deadline for submissions is November 2016 for publication in mid-2017
