Event details

This meeting of the International Motor Development Research Consortium (I-MDRC) UK & Ireland motor development group follows on from our last national meeting in 2023. The aim of the meeting is to continue to develop collaborative work in the field of motor development, to facilitate new links, potential joint funding bids and presentation of work by researchers and PhD students.

The event comprises a half day on Wednesday and a full day on Thursday. The Wednesday sessions will be convened with a clear purpose of setting the group on a shared trajectory, either to work on a systematic review/meta-analysis and/or a funding bid. We will also go out for an evening meal in Coventry in the evening for those who would like to attend.

The Thursday will comprise a keynote talk from Prof EMİNE ÇAĞLAR (Hacettepe University, Turkiye), opportunities for presentation of research work in and around the area and some fun (hopefully) workshops to explore topics around the IMDRC aims and mission.

We encourage postgraduate research students and researchers to present their work, at whatever stage, from proposal to completed studies. We would see this as an opportunity to present in a supportive environment where the focus would be on the audience providing mentorship type feedback.

If you are interested in presenting something, either a straight presentation or leading a workshop please email Professor Mike Duncan with title of presentation and author list. You can read more about his role within the IMDRC-UK here.

Spaces are restricted to 60 participants due to venue capacity.
