Event details

Are you a citizen of Coventry? Aged 18-25? Worried about the cost of energy?

Then you may be interested in what we have to say.

Coventry University researchers are exploring the use of Smart Local Energy Systems and their role in bringing about an ‘Energy Revolution’ by increasing energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and lowering costs for energy usage in homes and businesses. These systems hope to solve a vast number of shortfalls in the current way we generate and use energy.

We would like to invite people aged 18 – 25 to take part in a fun and thought-provoking workshop that explores Smart Local Energy Systems, and afterwards to ask your opinions regarding their implementation, and how they might affect your daily life.

The workshops will take place at the Coventry Technology Park and will last approximately one hour. Following the workshop, you will be asked to attend a short, recorded conversation around the workshop and your views regarding smart local energy systems.

Please note that there are three options for attendance available, please specify which option you would like to attend when completing the registration form:

  • Thursday 16 February, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
  • Saturday 18 February, 11am – 12noon
  • Saturday 18 February, 2pm – 3pm
